Absolutely will be back! Everything was delicious. We tried the strips and the hot honey sandwich. We of course had to sample all the beers so the 9 tasters were the way to go!

We had a great meal. They do not serve beef hamburgers, but their pork burgers are great, as are their fries, fried pickles, and power food coleslaw (some of the best coleslaw I've had in a while). They offer Keto (and gluten free) buns - a rarity in restaurants. The only negative was the children's menu consists solely of chicken strips or nuggets which were tasty from an adult point of view, but were quite peppery and rrejected by my granddaughter. The service was very good.

Seriously one of our favorite restaurants. My daughter loves the onion straws and swaps them for the fries on the kids meal. The food is sometimes messy, but always yummy (and most of the messiest foods tend to be the best in my opinion). My kiddo loves the vintage video games in the booths and no parent ever complained about built in entertainment during a dinner out. If I had one suggestion I would love to have a changing table in one of the bathrooms for us parents with little littles, but completely understand that it is a small space. Will continue to enjoy this wonderful and delicious restaurant.

Strips Chicken and Brewing isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a story. Nestled in Kansas City, this place is steeped in character and history, and you can feel it the moment you walk through the door. The atmosphere has an old-soul charm that whispers of simpler times, where meals were made with whole ingredients, slow hands, and care you could taste. And taste it you will. Their food feels honest — rooted in tradition, yet never afraid to be bold. Every bite of chicken is a reminder of how good food used to be: light but crispy, and seasoned with purpose. But what really sets Strips apart is how they play with flavor. Whether it’s a dash of unexpected spice or a sauce that makes you pause and smile, they manage to marry comfort and creativity in a way that just works. Every beer has a story that you can read about and taste. You’ve got a place that respects the past while still carving out its own unique identity. Strips Chicken and Brewing is more than a meal — it’s an experience, and one you’ll want to come back to.

This place is a gem and has especially great pork sandwiches in addition to their chicken! The coleslaw is unique and delicious as well. Vibes and outdoor covered patio are especially great during the summer. A small detail that I appreciated was also the to-go packaging, primarily cardboard, is top shelf.

What a cool place, new location right off the train tracks. Love their fried chicken, so light, crispy, and even gluten free! They have a full gluten free menu from appetizers to full fried chicken dinners. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious! I highly recommend this place. The owner Todd even stopped to chat with us! Everyone is so friendly! This place is also great for kids and they have Nintendo gaming stations at many of the tables. This would make a great place for a family get together!

My extended family and I (7 of us) all had lunch yesterday at Strips in Lenexa. As far as I’m concerned, this gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The owner (Todd) came out and talked to our table for quite a while, so I got to ask all the questions about separate fryer, dedicated workspace, etc. I have complete confidence eating here. Also, all my “gluten goblins” thought the GF food was good too. In fact, they all said the GF onion strings were the best they’ve had anywhere!!! I did not have a reaction, so I’m spreading the good news! GF food can be really good…and it is here!!! I ordered the smoked pulled bbq pork sandwich on a GF bun…that DID NOT FALL APART!!! It wasn’t hard and was sooo yummy. Woo hoo!!! I also tried the GF fried zucchini and enjoyed that as well. Just let them cool down a bit and use the fork they bring you. The coating will fall off as you try to eat it. My sister was thrilled that they had real broasted chicken. The only thing I would change is—please have a chipotle ranch dressing for dipping. That is my favorite for dipping anything and slathering on sandwiches. Oh, and need wet naps! My husband was not happy with the price of the cocktails ($15), but they were awesome. My mojito was strained. So no chunks of mint sneaking up the straw. I definitely tasted the mint though. We sat at a two tables moved together, but we noticed that a couple of the booths had TV screens with Roku. I guess you can choose what you want to watch. Also, the booths have tall backs, so I would imagine it would feel nice and private in there. Everything was a dark wood surface—very homey. There was a patio on the east side, which would be nice in the evening. We will definitely come back!!!

The breading wasn't as big and crispy but it was good! Sauces were interesting. Loved reading the stories behind food and drinks. Service was great. The interior was updated and nice but dim. It kinda tapped into speakeasy vibes, so wondered about being a kid place, but they had Nintendo at the table. The vibe was hard to figure out.
